Hall Table
This design came to me while attending a meditation retreat on the Russian River. I am fascinated by bridges in all their forms. This is another riff on the bridge form for a small wall space in my living room. It features an especially stunning piece of birdseye maple that makes enough of its own statement that the piece supporting it needed to be rather simple. The alternate directions of the "cable suspension" on the front and back gives the piece a symmetrical look from the front that shifts pleasingly at angles. The legs and apron are cherry, the suspension cables are walnut. It measures 28" L, 10" W, 37" H. |
