Bigsby Tele-type
I really like the sound of single coil pickups. For whatever reason I've only used them a few times before. This guitar has a hybrid shape that is derivative of classics. I try to do something different with each guitar I make. For this guitar, the Bigsby is the big "innovation" for me. It's fun to use, especially to get that swampy swing when it's needed. It's also got a unique spoke-style truss rod, accessed under a cover on the 22nd fret. A yin-yang inlay with paua abalone graces the back. The Fralin single coils do just what you'd expect, clear, focused, killer sound. This guitar is light and balanced, and it makes "that sound" in spades.
