I design and build unique, one-of-a-kind electric guitars in Sacramento Califorinia.  I use "neck-through" construction for it's beauty, ergonomic playability, and vibration transmission properties. There is no CNC here, everything is hand crafted with traditional tools. I often use three woods for the guitar body--great tone woods on top and bottom and a thin wood sandwich between. This method is inspired by George Harrison's Let It Be rooftop guitar. This combination of methods is unique in the world of guitar making as far as I know. Each guitar uses the highest quality components.
