Strat Fix
The Strat has always been a mystery to me. It's a great sounding guitar but it's an ergonomic disaster (aside from the sublime body contours!). To me, the controls are always in the way leading to unintended pickup switching and volume changes. I "fixed" it by moving the controls well out of the way. I further never understood the need for separate tone controls for positions 1,2 and 4,5. One tone control here. I included a 10-way "Freeway" switch for additional tone options. This guitar has a figured olive wood pick guard, headstock plate, and control cover. The wood was originally a cutting board that I bought in Corfu. All edges are bound for a protection and a nice color contrast. I left the tremolo cavity open (a la Eric Johnson) because it shows the though-neck laminations under the springs and just looks great. This guitar comes with a hard-shell case and lifetime maintenance and set-up to your specifications.
