Bass Six

Bass Six
This is my take on the venerable Bass VI. It's actually an "octave" guitar. The 30" length-scale places it right between a Strat/Tele and a Jazz/Precision. The neck geometry is the same as a guitar, just a bit longer. It can hold down a bass line but really wants to be played like a guitar. That's why George or John used the Fender Bass VI when Paul was playing keyboard. Tone possibilities are many as each Lindy Fralin single coil pickup is individually switched. My version also has a semi-hollow body for weight reduction and tone, along with click switches and a Bigsby tremolo. The pick guard and fretboard are maple-bound figured claro walnut obtained from a local mill specializing in orchard trees. As usual, the "through-neck" construction offers superior feel and comfort. All my guitars include life time maintenance and set-up to your specifications.
